Wildlife
Right on your doorstep, the beach, the lagoon, and the golf courses. Pelicans, egrets and herons, turtles, manatee and dolphins – are all seen regularly. Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs on our beach in the spring.
If you are lucky you might catch sight of the baby turtles trying to reach the water.
Locally there are numerous wildlife and nature parks and preserves.
On the golf course we have also seen alligator, armadillo, deer, possum, racoon and eagles.
Activities
Beach walking – relax gentlemen and concentrate on your fishing, we’re very comfortable that the ladies are safe walking the beach on their own.
Golf – you are spoilt for choice. There are nearly 50 courses in Sarasota County, with at least 90 courses within 40 minutes drive.
Standards vary from club to championship level. Try Bobcat Trail, Heron Creek and Misty Creek – take plenty of balls.
Fishing – it’s everywhere – off the beach, in the lagoon from the boat dock or go for the “big one” out in the Gulf of Mexico. Rods can be bought locally for about $30.
Water Sports – Enjoy, Jet Skiing, scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, swimming, water skiing and boating.
Basically any activity you want to do is available to you in the Sarasota area.
